Around here, we just LOVE helping budding artists find their wings
in this industry.  Jessica especially loves to offer advice and support
to other fantasy artists just getting started.  So many others helped
her along the way when she was just starting, it's only fitting to pay
it forward.  With that said, we'd like to invite all budding artists out
to enter our Annual Art Contest.  Going with the theme of the year
that Jessica has chosen (see below for current year's theme),
we ask amateur artists to enter our contest.  The chosen winner
will receive a limited edition art book of Jessica's, AND a $100
Gift Certificate to Dick Blick Art Supplies.  Please see below for
entry rules and instructions.  Also, be sure to check out last year's

This Year's Theme: Mystical Places (think enchanted glens,
moon temples or other fantasy landscapes)
Mediums Allowed: Any 2-D or 3-D art medium
(includes painting, sketching, digital and sculpture!)
Instructions (please follow carefully):
1) Finish your piece!  Make sure to follow the theme
and create your piece accordingly and make sure
it is ONLY your original work and not a
copy of another work of art.
2) Photograph/Scan it! We'll need to see a nice photo
or scan of it.  Get that ready and see below:
3) Upload it then e-mail us! Please upload your photo
or scan of the piece to your own server (do NOT attach
it to the e-mail you send us or we will not open it)...
4) Send us an e-mail!  Send us an e-mail with the

We received soooo many beautiful entries this year, it was a really
difficult decision.  Eileen's work of art was chosen for it's dynamic
